Bloody Ground - Prototype

THE STORY

You play a lowly Grave Digger who finds a strange artifact that gives him strange powers in exchange for... ...blood.

But where to find blood? 

Well, how about in dangerous places where a lot of people have died? So many in fact, that the ground is red with their blood. The Bloody Ground.

But, wait, why have people died there? 

Well, there are all sorts of monsters there including the undead.

But why do people go there? 

Well, the ground is full of treasure to dig up. Old battle fields, swamps, deserts and dungeons. Exactly the type of places where a lowly Grave Digger could dig if they had strange powers and some Mercenaries to protect them.

So, with hired Mercenaries, you travel to the Bloody Ground to find your fortune, or your fate.

ABOUT

Bloody Ground is a hybrid Auto Mining Battler that mixes the satisfaction of digging games with light strategic auto battles. 

Auto - Mining

All you need is your mouse, digging is automatic. 

Dirt is easy to dig but gives only a sprinkle of Blood.

Rock is soaked with blood but needs a Hammer to break.

Auto - Battler

No complex commands, just let your Mercenaries do their job. But you will need to help them by digging Blood Blocks and crushing the enemies Curse Blocks.

Blood Blocks? Curse Blocks??

These are special types of blocks that the Artifact makes for you, in return for Blood.

These are Curse Blocks. when the enemies blood is spilled they appear. You can't dig them but you can blow them up!

Rogue-Lite

If you are defeated, then you can either restart with all your upgrades (dig faster/harder) so you can get more Gold. 

Or, you can retreat and spend the money you have on new Artifact Powers, which get you more Blood Blocks to use.

HOW TO PLAY

• Just uses your mouse, no other keys.
• Hover over things you want to mine. You collect Blood/Gold when you destroy the Block.
• Harder Blocks have more chance of more Gold.
• Mine the bloody ground, the harder it is, the more blood it holds, (hmm, seems like you can get blood out of a stone).
• Mine Blood to fuel 'the artifact' which will spawn the Items you have equipped.
• Most  Items have 5 levels of upgrades. Mine more Blood to increase level (the middle Red progress bar)

This is a prototype I've been working on for a few months to prove the idea. It still has a lot more to add but I want to see if people like it before I add more.
